Our trained tutors come to your home to work with the student at a time that is convenient for your busy schedule.  Sessions are one hour in length.  We generally see a student  twice during a week.  This is optional; you can arrange the number of sessions per week after the consultation and evaluation.  Since we ask that an adult is in the home during the session, we arrange the schedule to take both the student’s and adult’s time commitment into consideration.

The consultation and evaluation allow us to choose a tutor that best fits your child’s personality and learning needs.  Your child will have the same tutor throughout the schedule of sessions.  Continuity of services and the rapport that is developed between the tutor and student are important elements to your child’s success.  The schedule for tutoring sessions will be arranged after we choose the tutor and start services.   We do a background check on our tutors as a security measure for you and your child.

We find that, on average, it takes two to four months to raise a student’s grade one or two levels, but it is dependent on the student’s needs and learning style.
